How To Deal With Teflon Conveyor Belt Deviation

Teflon conveyor belt deviation is one of the common failures of belt conveyors. There are many reasons for the deviation of Teflon conveyor belts. The main reason is the low installation accuracy and poor daily maintenance. During the installation process, the head-to-tail roller and the intermediate roller are as close as possible to the same center line and parallel to each other to ensure that the Teflon conveyor belt is not deviated or less deviated. In addition, the Teflon tape joints should be correct and the circumferences on both sides should be the same. If there is a belt deviation during the use, the following checks should be made to determine the cause and make adjustments.

The parts and treatment methods for the frequent inspection of the Teflon conveyor belt are:

Check the position of the goods on the Teflon conveyor. The goods is not centered on the Teflon conveyor cross section and will cause the belt to deviate. If the goods is on the right side, the Teflon conveyor belt runs to the left and vice versa. The goods should be centered as much as possible when in use. To reduce or avoid such Teflon conveyor belt deviation, the baffle can be used to change the direction and position of the goods.

Check the misalignment of the transverse centerline of the roller and the longitudinal centerline of the belt conveyor. If the non-coincidence value exceeds 3 mm, it should be adjusted with the long mounting holes on both sides of the roller set. The specific method is which side of the conveyor belt is deviated, which side of the roller set moves forward in the direction in which the conveyor belt advances, or moves backward on the other side.

Check the deviation values of the two planes. If the deviation between the two planes is more than 1 mm, the two planes should be adjusted in the same plane. The adjustment method of the head roller is: if the Teflon conveyor belt runs away from the right side of the roller, the bearing block on the right side of the drum should move forward or the left bearing block; If the Teflon conveyor belt is offset to the left side of the roller, the bearing block on the left side of the roller should move forward or the right bearing block should move backward. The tail roller is adjusted in the opposite way to the head roller.
