Reasons for Teflon mesh conveyor belt slippage

Teflon mesh conveyor belt has been gradually applied to a wide range of applications, and its ultra-high performance has been highly praised by users. However, the Teflon mesh belt will also have some slippage during operation, so these slips will occur. What are the main reasons for the phenomenon? Let’s take a closer look:

The initial tension is too small: the tension of the Teflon mesh conveyor belt leaving the drum is insufficient to cause the conveyor belt to slip. This situation usually occurs at the start-up. The solution is to adjust the tensioning device and increase the initial tension.

The tail roller bearing is not damaged or the upper and lower roller bearings are not damaged. The cause of the damage is that there is too much floating in the tail, and there is no timely repair and replacement of parts that have been damaged or inflexible, causing the resistance to increase and causing slippage.

The start speed is too fast and can form a slip: at this time, it can be started slowly. Or after jogging twice and then starting, it can also effectively overcome the slip phenomenon.

The friction between the drive roller and the Teflon conveyor belt is insufficient to cause slippage. Most of the reasons for slippage are water on the conveyor belt or wet environment.
